I had the following conversation with HY.
(We are both leaving Singapore for good. I'm going on 22nd Jul, he's leaving on the 29th.)

HY: actually how do u feel abt it? Looking forward or ...?
Me: i look forward!
HY: ok
Me: singapore is too hot.
HY: ... weather > friends?
Me: friends = write emails and letters. sometimes, you get closer when u are further away. when u are near each other, you take people for granted... hence you always think that you will have a chance to meet them in singapore. but if you are parted, you will create more effort to meet up.
HY: ya, ppl are weird. haha
