my material moments

Maybe because tomorrow is my birthday.. for the first time there're quite a few things that I want. (honestly - usually I dont even ask for a single present unless I'm just joking around)

Somewhat, this year feels different. May be its the first time I decided to celebrate it myself. Or may be its the first time I want to have some peace (signs of getting old?!). Perhaps its because of the news I got from a Doctor yesterday that really caught me by surprise (dont worry, I'm not pregnant)... Anyhow, these are my material goals that I hope to achieve by December.

1st. A sony cybershot. I already have one. But that is >5 years old! Even though its still in good shape, I feel a bit embarassed at times when I have to use it with my friends.. (yes, this is what I call peer pressure) My desire to get THIS digicam increased 10 times since yesterday, so it moved from #2 desired item to 1st!!

Sony Cybershot DSC-T100R. This red hot 8.1 Mega Pixel with 5X Optical Zoom is really, really making me drool. She's 141g, 92 x 59 x 23 mm, 100 shots in burst mode, 8GB of memory (240 shots!), close up at 1cm! Oo~! The only downside is no date/time stamp.

Actually.. I'm comtemplating between this and Panasonic's LUMIX DMC-TZ3. TZ3 is more guyish, but the 10x optical zoom + date/time stamp is an advantage. Though this time round I started with the intention of a cool/slim nature, and this is 7.2 MP is 257g, 105 x 59 x 37 mm...

OK, IF I get that Panasonic scholarship, I'll get this Panasonic digicam to show my thankfulness. If I get the partial scholarship instead, I'll hang on to my digicam desires and move on to the printer first.... *pray hard*

2nd. I would like a printer in my new room in Japan. (Yes I'm going NO matter what!)

MF4120. The current one I'm using is MF3110. Got it in my vigin month in SMU. Now that I'm graduating, I'm leaving her behind for my brothers. MF4120 would be good to have in Japan. The added feature besides copy, print, scan would be duplex printing!! Then I wont have to do them manually anymore ^__^

3rd. There's other things that I would like to have. But they are not in my priority list. (Priority list = I WILL get them).

Gosh, I spent the past 8++ hours reading about technology products when my exams are in less than a week. What am I doing, girl?
