Went to Tokyo over the weekend. Went there on Matsushita fieldtrip requirement. It was suppose to be a lot of cultural learning, though the main event would be meeting the alumni on Friday night. It was a public holiday on Friday, so Fri to Sunday was a crazy 3 day holiday for most of the Japanese, making Tokyo extra crowded than usual.

Unfortunately, I had many interesting memorable experiences over that special weekend. But to think about it, I was considered really very very fortunate. Yup, even though an unfortunate event occurred, I feel so lucky. Thank you God, thank you friends.

Unfortunate but not so unfortunate events:
1. There was no seats on the shinkansen! However, I managed to sit on the stairs and slept throughout half the journey thanks to almost no sleep the night before! *luckY*
2. (most unfortunate event) Someone had a stomach flu days ago and she passed it to me.... so I had my first stomach flu experience! It was terrible. I vomited more than I could afford. The lucky things are:
a. I get to change a room after I messed up the first room. (I only vomited in the toilet but I didn't want to clean up cos I felt quite weak.. it was midnight)
b. I get to rest a whole day on Saturday in the hotel (even though I can't sleep and was in pain throughout, I got to rest and recharge). This leads to money saving cos I don't have to go out!
c. I got to understand the terrible-ness of stomach flu. Its my first experience afterall.
d. I lost weight since I didn't eat for 2 whole days.
e. I had my first Japanese hospital experience too! Quite interesting.
f. A lot of my friends cared a lot for me.... I felt so happy and loved.
g. Free porridge after when I got back to the hostel.
h. Someone carried baggage for me on my way back.
i. Free ride to the hospital.
g. Free ride to the local supermarket.
h. Free ride to 7-11 to buy food.
i. Someone tucked me to bed.
j. the benefits goes on....

I finally healed completely today, and started consuming food. Think I'll gain back the weight I lost soon, but I felt very glad that I only fell sick after the MAJOR MIF (scholarship foundation name) event. In that event I got to meet a lot of super people.

The only challenging thing ahead is that I am ONE ENTIRE WEEKEND behind work!! Where things to finish pilled up like NO body's business and I was so looking forward to that 3 day weekend to finish up some of the work........

But I am all charged.

FIGHTOOOOOOO!
